Amazing 9 day journey to Rome and the Amalfi Coast. Our sightseeing will include the Colosseum, Trevi Foutain, Imperial Fora and the impressive ruins of Pompeii. We will also explore the breathtaking scenery of the Amalfi Coast. Optional 3 night pre-trip to Florence or 2 night post trip to Naples.
Visiting these three destinations, Rome, Sorrento, and the Amalfi Coast, together will create a well-balanced Italian trip. Rome is known for its ancient history, museums, and iconic landmarks while the picturesque seaside town, Sorrento, overlooks the Bay of Naples. The charming old streets of Sorrento are lined with cafes, boutiques, and lemon-themed products. One must sample the homemade limoncello liqueur which is made from this area’s largest lemons. Sorrento has a more relaxed atmosphere than Rome, making this an ideal spot to slow down after visiting busy Rome. Amalfi Coast has the most spectacular coastal scenery in Europe combining natural beauty and culture. There are cliffside villages, roads winding above the beautiful turquoise water, crystal clear beaches, and of course, the exceptional Mediterranean cuisine. Amalfi Coast is also famous for its pastel-colored cliffside villages.
