Our member meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month (except no meetings are held in July, August, and December) in the Solivita Starlite Ballroom starting at 6:30 pm.

At our meetings our volunteer Trip Coordinators (TCs) will be stationed around the room with flyers for their upcoming trips. members are invited to circulate around the room, meet with TCs and take flyers for trips of interest. Members can sign up for trips at a meeting or sign an interest list to be contacted later. 

All questions about individual trips and trip registrations are handled by the Trip Coordinator.

Each meeting includes a speaker for 30-40 minutes starting at 7pm. Upcoming meetings feature the following speakers:​

• April 21, 2026 - Bob Monica - Wine, Cuisine & Terroir

• Our speaker for April 21 will be Bob Monica, fondly known as “Wine Guy Bob.” Bob is a retired hospitality executive, having served in senior management positions for ITT Sheraton, Radisson Hotels, Helmsley Hotels and Choice Hotels. He is the Founder/CEO of Monica Hospitality Solutions serving as a wine professional, veteran public speaker, and entertainer hosting popular wine tasting events. His Wine Guy Bob tastings are featured in communities throughout Florida including here in Solivita.

   

  Bob will educate and entertain us with his discussion of “Wine, Cuisine and Terroir”. An agricultural product, wine is deeply associated with the local culture expressed by the French word, TERROIR. The word encompasses all natural elements including soil, topography, and weather in which the grapes are grown. It also reflects the values and the tastes of the local community.  In Europe and much of the rest of the world the finest wines are those that best reflect the “terroir” and go best with the local cuisine.  Bob will discuss how to consider this important concept, giving you a headstart in your effort to experience any region’s most unique and exquisite vintages.
