Love the ocean? Join me for 5 nights at two oceanfront hotels during our exploration of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Love nature or history? Our 7-night Premier World Discovery tour starts and ends in Raleigh. Enjoy a city tour and tour the Victorian-style Executive Mansion, home to governors since 1891. Visit Tryon Palace, N.C.’s first permanent state capitol, relax on an Inner Banks lunch cruise where we’ll hopefully see wild horses along the banks. Explore Beaufort’s Historic Site, in the town established in 1709. Cross the Pamlico Sound in a ferry to Ocracoke Island before taking a ferry to Hatteras Island to see the famous lighthouse. Visit Fort Raleigh, the “Lost Colony” founded in 1585, then visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills. On our off-road nature safari we’ll watch for wild horses, sea birds and foxes along the shore. On our return to Raleigh, we’ll visit Edenton, N.C.’s second oldest town.
